CBSE schools to go paperless at Bokaro

Monday, 31 August 2020 | PNS | Bokaro

All schools of The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) across Bokaro district would be completely paperless for every kind of correspondence and exchange of information from schools from 1 September.

From Monday (1 September), CBSC will not accept any kind of offline or email correspondence, informed AK Jha Principal (in-charge) Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro.

Emphasising paperless operations using IT technology, CBSE has established a portal “e-Harkara” where all schools will be able to submit all their information, concerns, applications, suggestions including more to the departments and regional offices concerned. CBSE has called on all schools to make mandatory use of the e-Harkara site, he said.

“Thus, CBSE associated schools will only have to do administrative work from this site as of 1 September,” added Jha.

CBSE has already done all the proceedings related to Affiliation, Accreditation, Examination and Academic. Some of the remaining arrangements were completely online during lockdown, said an official.

After this, all kinds of complaints and applications were sent through the school paper and email. Now e-Harkara portal has been developed to render it fully online.

“CBSE claims that while this new system would absolutely stop paper use. The query about any school department through the portal will enter that department directly and they will receive the response directly, too. It will take minimum time while the document will cost nothing and rapid action can be assured,” he added.
