Miscreants targeted a parked car at Sheetal Dham in Samardha under Misrod police station and stole Rs 81,000 cash from window pane on Wednesday.
According to the police, the bag was stolen from the victim Devendra Singh alias Deepak’s car parked outside his house in Sheetal Dham and when he checked, the bag was found stolen. The victim parked car in the afternoon and forgot to close window pane and later found bag was stolen.
The incident took place in the afternoon and victim came to know about the theft at around 6.30 pm when the victim went to check the car parked the car.
He asked the locals and neighbours but they expressed ignorance over spotting of anyone near the car.
The cash was kept in a bag at the rear seat and the window panes of the door were left open by mistake by the victim which made it easier to steal the bag.
After preliminary investigation, the police registered a case under section 379 of the IPC.
