Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) Girish Chandra Murmu visited the KIIT and the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) on Wednesday.
He assured help to set up a world-class Football Academy at KISS-Mayurbhanj. Felicitating him, KIIT & KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta said Murmu is the pride of Odisha. Dr Samanta said, "The academy will help the rising football players not only from Mayurbhanj district but also from other districts of Odisha. With world-class training, our players will bring laurels to Odisha and India at international level," said Samanta. Murmu said the KISS is the only institute in the world where more than 30,000 tribal students are getting food, accommodation, healthcare, sports facilities along with education free of cost. "It is not a small thing. It is possible due to the dedicated work of Dr Samanta towards the holistic development of tribal children," he stated.
