Chhattisgarh has secured top rank in the dynamic ranking of Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission (SPMRM) across India.
Chhattisgarh has again grabbed the first place in the state ranking of Rurban cluster region conducted by the Union Rural Development Ministry, a press release said on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has called it a proud achievement for the state and congratulated all the officers and employees.
The "Dynamic ranking system" of all Rurban clusters of the country was based on 12 indicators including assessment of financial and material progress made so far under the Rurban Mission.
The states have been ranked based on the consolidated performance of the cluster allocated to the various states.
Chhattisgarh was also awarded the first prize for "excellent implementation of the mission" by the Ministry of Rural Development in December 2019.
