Amarendu Prakash assumed charge as Director-in-charge of BSL on 28 September. Prakash was earlier posted as Chief General Manager at SAIL’s Chairman Secretariat, New Delhi. After receiving a degree in Tech, Prakash started his career in 1991 from the Hot Strip Mill of SAIL’s Bokaro Steel Plant. He spent nearly 20 years of his early career at Hot Strip Mill. Thereafter, he got an opportunity to work in PPC and SC department. In April 2016, Prakash was transferred to the post of Deputy General Manager in the SAIL’s Secretariat. He became General Manager in June 2017 and since September 2019, he was holding the important post of Chief General Manager, Chairman’s Secretariat.
Also under Prakash Leadership Director (Personnel) cup was won at corporate level where contest took place between 12 best teams from SAIL and was conducted by experts from AIMA using computer simulation.
On arrival of Prakash, Director-in-Charge (Medical and Health Services) Dr. AK Singh, Executive Director (Projects and Personnel and Administration) R Kushwaha, Executive Director (Materials Management) VK Pandey, Executive Director (Finance and Accounts) He was welcomed by DK Saha, Executive Director (Operations) Atanu Bhowmik and other senior officials of Bokaro Steel Plant. Under the extensive experience and guidance of Prakash, Bokaro Steel Plant is ready to touch new heights.
