A bravery award winner minor girl, Sabita Giri, of Kendrapada district has allegedly been kidnapped. As per a complaint lodged by the girl’s mother with the Jambu police, her daughter has been abducted by Pratap Khada of Salio village in Jagatsinghpur district.
The woman alleged that the accused has been forcing the girl to marry him. Police have registered a case in this connection and started an investigation.
The abducted girl had received the Indian Council for Child Welfare’s National Bravery Award-2019 for saving several persons from drowning during a boat capsize incident inMahanadi river confluence in Kendrapada district last year.
