BJP State president Samir Mohanty on Sunday advised party workers to create awareness about People’s safety during floods and get involved in the rescue operations in the flood-affected areas.
In a statement, Mohanty expressed unhappiness saying that the State administration has not reached in many affected areas yet. “Even as many breaches on river embankments have occurred at different places, the administration is yet to provide relief to them. In this situation, BJP workers should go to people, make them aware of safety and get involved in rescue operation. They should be involved in distribution of dry foods, water and medicines to affected people,” said Mohanty.
He too urged district administrations to provide reliefs to affected people at the earliest and compensation to farmers for crops lost in the floods.
