Rising to the call of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, eminent Bollywood singers Asha Bhosle and Shankar Mahadevan sang ‘Bande Utkala Janani’ at their respective places to show their support to Covid-19 warriors.
Before singing the song, Bhosle encouraged all to recite the song along with every Odia. “Here is my beautiful “bandey utkala janani” Recreated by @ShankarEhsanLoy & produced & directed by @nilamadhabpanda. This song is dedicated to all the frontline warriors fighting covid day & night. Let’s sing it together at 5.30 today with every Odia,” tweeted Bhosle.
She again tweeted, “The full version of Odisha’s anthem “Bande Utkala Janani” can be viewed here. Though the language is Odia, the emotions are Indian. We support our Covid warriors no matter which language they speak. Jai Hind Flag of India.”
