Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that an action plan should be made and implemented to further enhance the natural beauty of the state capital Bhopal. Bhopal should become a model of cleanliness, beauty, development, and good governance. Chouhan said that the campaign against criminal elements should continue. The government is stricter than the thunderbolt for anti-social elements and soft like a flower for good people.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing a meeting on Sunday in connection with development, beautification and law and order of Bhopal. Commissioner Bhopal Kavindra Kiyawat, ADG Bhopal Upendra Jain, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Manish Rastogi, O.S.D. CM Office Makarand Deuskar, Collector Bhopal Avinash Lavania, DIG Bhopal Irshad Wali, Commissioner Public Relations Sudam Khade, Director Public Relations Ashutosh Pratap Singh and senior officials were present in the meeting.
Chouhan said that a strategy for development of Bhopal should be prepared in two weeks. An action plan that can give special recognition to the city should be prepared. There is abundance of natural beauty in Bhopal. The city should lag behind from Indore in the area of cleanliness. There should be healthy competition. Efforts must be made so that Bhopal becomes a model in this area. Chief Minister Chouhan said that works related to metro rail should be completed at a rapid pace.
Chouhan said that senior administrative and police officers must monitor law and order system. The law and order situation should remain strong and strict action should be taken against criminals. There should be complete control over illegal activities. Action should be taken, but no one’s livelihood must be affected. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that punishing the culprits is the only solution. Criminals must not have the courage to raise their heads.
Chouhan said that citizens should get services on time through offices and public service centres. Good governance should be noticeable in the system. Citizens should get full benefits of it. Bhopal is the capital, so it should be a model in this area too.
Chouhan said that on November 23 last, he had conducted a surprise inspection to see the implementation of Public Service Centre, sewage treatment plant and housing schemes in Bhopal. He will conduct such surprise and prefixed tours again. Apart from the capital, he will visit other cities and villages. Such tours provide direct information about the status of civic amenities.
