nThe distribution of ‘Kadha’, prepared by mixing Tulsi, cinnamon, dry ginger and black pepper with the approval of the Union Ministry of AYUSH, was held at Bodla Janpad Panchayat in Chhattisgarh's Kabirdham district on Thursday.
Woman and Children Development Minister Anila Bhediya and Forest Minister Mohammed Akbar inaugurated the programme thought video conferencing from Raipur.
“This Kadha is going to protect people from corona pandemic. This will boost people's immunity,” the Ministers were quoted as saying in an official press release.
Bhediya said that Akbar had begun the distribution of AYUSH Kadha in Kabirdham district.
“Kadha's consumption will help people,” Akbar said and urged people to maintain physical distancing and follow other safety guidelines.
Akbar said that Kadha has been prepared by mixing Tulsi, cinnamon, dry ginger and black pepper. The government plans to distribute kadha in every house of Kawardha legislative assembly, he said.
Traditional healers (trained Vaidya) in the state are preparing kadha after getting licensed by the Health and Family Welfare Department of Chhattisgarh.
