Haryana Government on Thursday appointed 1993 batch IPS officer Alok Mittal as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The posting orders were issued by the State's Home Department.
Prior to this, he was Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in CID, the state’s intelligence wing, on his repatriation from the Central Government. Home Secretary Vijai Vardhan stated that the State Government has appointed Mittal as ADGP CID. This order came into force with immediate effect. Mittal got this responsibility from ADGP (CID) Anil Kumar Rao who retired on Thursday
