Air connectivity to Dehradun will be enhanced further with Air India slated to start operation of flights between Dehradun and Bengaluru/Hyderabad.
In a letter to the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, the Air India Limited director (Commercial), Meenakshi Mallik informed that every Wednesday,
the AI 568 will depart from Hyderabad at 7 AM and reach Dehradun at 9:10 AM, depart from Dehradun to Bengaluru at 10:10 PM and arrive at its destination at 12:45 PM from where it will depart from Hyderabad at 2 PM and arrive at the destination at 2:55 PM. Similarly, on Sunday, the flight will depart from Hyderabad at 7 AM to reach Bengaluru at 8 PM, depart from there at 8:55 AM and reach Dehradun at 11:40 AM and then depart from here at 12:40 PM to reach Hyderabad at 2:55 PM.
Air India has been earlier connecting the state to Delhi and Mumbai and now will for the first time, connect Uttarakhand to the southern Indian cities of Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
Mallik also extended her apologies to the CM, stating that due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic the Air India chairman and managing director and she herself will not be able to attend the inaugural flight in Dehradun on July 15.
