In a major administrative reshuffle the State Government on Tuesday late night transferred and posted 35 IPS officers in the State. Also, the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms & Rajbhasha on Wednesday promoted four IAS officers in level 12, without changing their present post. The four IAS officers who have been promoted at senior rank (level 12) includes, Hazaribag Municipal Commissioner, Kamleshwar Prasad Singh, Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar, Seraikela-Kharsawan Deputy Commissioner, Anjaneyulu Dodde and Dumka Deputy Commissioner Rajeshwari B.
The Home, Prisons and Disaster Management Department on Tuesday evening issued a notification of transfer and posting of 35 IPS officers. Among the police officers who are transferred and assigned new assignments included, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) ranks officers and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSPs) of Dhanbad and Jamshedpur along with SPs.
Akhilesh Kumar Jha, DIG Special Branch, has been made DIG, Ranchi. Jha will also hold additional charge of DIG of Palamu region. Amol Venukant Homkar, who was DIG of South Chottanagpur (Ranchi) region has been transferred to North Chottanagpur (Hazaribag) region. Similarly, Raj Kumar Lakra the DIG at Dumka has been posted at Home Guard at same capacity.
Kuldeep Dwivedi, DIG at Kolhan region has been made as DIG of Jharkhand Jaguar, while Pankaj Kamboj, DIG at Hazaribag region has been made the DIG of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB).
Apart from transfer of DIG ranks officers, two SSP rank officers too have been shifted. Jamshedpur SSP, Anoop Birtharay has been made as commandant at JAP. In place of Birtharay, Koderma SP M Tamil Vanan has been made as SSP of Koderma. Birtharay, was in news this week firstly the Jamshedpur police arrested Rajesh Mangotia alias Laddu Mangotia, Deepak Agrawal, Rajat Jaggi and Raju Bhaloti at The Alcor Hotel for violating the lockdown.
The arrest of the five persons was made after the SSP Anoop Birtharay initiated a fresh enquiry into the hotel episode, suspecting those released on PR Bond of being involved in clandestine activities in the hotel during the lockdown period. Moreover, in steel city a vendor was fund selling fruits with VHP banner. The police didn’t arrest the fruit vendor but issued a warning.
Apart from Birtharay, Dhanbad SSP Kishore Kaushal too has been transferred from Dhanbad. He has been shifted to police training college Padma, Hazaribag. In place of Kaushal, Chatra SP Akhilesh B Warrier has been made as new SSP of the Coal city.
Ranchi SP Saurabh has been given the additional post of SP rural, while rural SP Risabh Kumar Jha has been made as SP Chatra. Loharadaga SP Priyadarshi Alok has been shifted to JAP Commandant 3 Govindpur. Deoghar, Pakur, Hazaribag too got new SPs.
