Setting an example for others, Anganwadi Worker Annapurna Chowdhury of Balarampur village under Ganjam district’s Patrapur block returned to duty as a Covid warrior just five days after she underwent a surgery.
Chowdhury was on March 6 diagnosed with hydrocephalus. She then underwent a surgery in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. She was advised to take rest till she recovers fully. However, she returned to duty just five days of her operation.
She has been creating awareness among people, conducting survey and working in a quarantine center. She has also left her three-year-old son back at home. She has been consulting with her doctor through text messages instead of scheduling appointment in Bhubaneswar.
