As many as 96 new Covid-19 cases were reported on Saturday, taking the total number of cases to 1,819 in the State.
All the new cases are in quarantine centres.
Kendrapada and Gajapati districts reported the highest 10 cases each while Khordha district reported nine cases. Ganjam, Jajpur, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur districts registered six cases each. Bhadrak, Balangir and Sundargarh districts reported seven cases each.
Five cases were detected in Kalahandi, four each in Baleswar, Nuapada and Deogarh districts, two in Dhenkanal district and one each from Puri, Nayagarh and Keonjhar districts.
However, the total number of recovery cases rose to 1,050 on Saturday to as another 73 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
Out of the 73 recoveries, 28 are from Boudh district, 11 from Puri, 10 from Kendrapada, nine from Cuttack, seven from Khordha, two each from Malkangiri and Angul and one each from Ganjam, Baleswar, Jajpur and Kandhamal districts.
