To check spread of corona among complainants and policemen, eight police stations of old and new Bhopal have taken protection measures as positive cases were reported in these eight police station and policemen were infected which later transmitted to their families.
IG Bhopal Upendra Jain said that from old and new Bhopal area eight police stations were found to have positive cases of corona and to safeguard and break the chain of transmission these have been isolated in terms of contacted to save complainants, nabbed miscreants, suspects and policemen.
All staff members are undergoing tests for corona and functioning of the police stations are usual but with extra precautions to contain the spread of corona.
The policemen of these police stations are provided with staying facilities in nearby hotels and lodges.Apart from these visiting of policemen and officials to other police stations has been restricted. The information is collected over phone and e-mail. The policemen are instructed to not visit other districts and their houses.
A dedicated desk has been made for all kinds of complaints which remains the point of contact for complainants following all precautions of social distancing and other preventive measures.
The police stations which contracted the infection are Jehangirabad, Aishbagh, TT Nagar, Gautam Nagar,Talaiya, Hanumanganj, Shahjehanabad and Hanumanganj.
Making these arrangements more effective these police stations are sanitized to prevent the spread of infection and complainants visiting the police stations are also senitised. The arrest of accused and to present them in the court is done with utmost care taking all preventive measures.
