Keeping an eye on the upcoming new year eve celebrations police checking in late night found six persons consuming tobacco hookah at Till We Die restaurant under Chunabhatti police station area on Tuesday. Police conducted checking and raids to maintain law and order and Covid-19 protocol to prevent prevention of spread of infection.
After receiving complaints in the night on Tuesday hotels and restaurants were visited during which six persons were found consuming hookah and when police asked to produce license and smoking longue they failed to provide any documents.
Police have recovered two hookahs and recovered tobacco flavors. The owner of the restaurant Rahul Jain his friends Sankul Jain, Devansh Patel, Harish Agrawal, Pradeep Choudhary and Shubdeep.
For long the restaurant was serving tobacco hookah. The police have registered a case under section section 3 and 4 of Control of Tobacco Products Act 2003 has been registered against them. The action was taken in the drive for peaceful new year celebrations. Intense search has been started of suspicious persons at railway stations, lodge, bus stands.
All hotels which would organise new year celebrations would be visited and checked by police and would be instructed to follow protocol of Covid-19. The arrangements for women safety would be in focus at all the places organising new year celebrations.
More than 3000 policemen would be deployed in the evening for safe and peaceful new year celebrations.
