In the past 24 hours with three deaths due to corona the number of deaths reached 24 deaths in the district till Wednesday.
Four patients were tested positive for corona increasing the number to 127. The district has received 95 new positive cases in eight days. The officials say that several investigations were pending.
The number has increased due to receiving of reports which are awaited. The new patients are from containment areas and were already in quarantine. Till date samples of 2334 samples have been investigated. On Tuesday 51 new samples were collected.After the testing kits were received by RD Gardi Hospital trails have been started on Tuesday.
However, trials and other formalities may take a few more days.The first case of corona infection in Ujjain district was revealed on 25 March. A 65-year-old woman resident of Jansapura died during treatment in Indore. After this, a total of eight deaths were recorded till April 20.
The death graph increased from April 21 and the figure reached 24 by Wednesday. Four of the dead are residents of Badnagar, one of Mahidpur and the rest in Ujjain city. Meanwhile relief came for Ratlam district after 9 out of 14 patients returned to their homes after winning the battle against Corona while 9 cases positive in Mandsaur. After reports of 9 patients came negative they were discharged from COVID -Hospital of Medical College, Ratlam. The patients thanked the hospital administration and the district administration for the arrangements.
Collector Ruchika Chauhan, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Tiwari, Dean of Medical College Dr Sanjay Dixit and doctors, nurses and paramedical staff were present on the occasion. Patients who have been discharged from the hospital will have to remain home quarantined for 14 days.
At same time, there are 9 case positives in Mandsaur district. The district administration and police administration are strict about lock-down, while taking care of needs of people.
