A 35-year-old man was killed by his step-mother with the help of his son at BDA Colony under Awadhpuri police station area in the morning on Tuesday; initial investigation revealed making advances towards step-mother lead to killing.
ASP Zone 2 Rajesh Bhadoria said that the deceased identified as Tunna alias Vijendra Parsondiya and step-mother had dispute in the past and irked with the dispute Neelu killed him.
The deceased wanted to develop illicit relationship with step-mother and annoyed over the deceased Neelu attacked Tunna with an iron rod in his head which lead to his death, he added. Son of Neelu, Saurabh was also involved in the murder and he had hidden the iron rod used in the murder.
After the attack, senior police officers rushed to the spot and in the investigation found that the deceased made advances which were not accepted by her step mother. The locals have spotted heavy ruckus at the house in the evening and late night which was due to fight between the family members on Monday.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC. The deceased used to work as driver and was heavily addicted to liquor.
The accused who murdered at around 9 am tried to mislead the police but when the family members were quizzed, the truth was revealed. Father of the deceased is a retired police personnel. The deceased was one of the three children from first marriage of his father.
