Chhattisgarh reported 32 new coronavirus positive patients on Saturday while two patients, one each from Balod and Mungeli districts, were discharged from AIIMS, Raipur.
According to a media bulletin released by the State Control and Command Centre for COVID-19, samples of a total of 66,417 suspected persons have been taken, of which 64,762 proved to be negative. The results of 1,208 samples are awaited.
Of the 32 new patients, Koriya district reported 20 patients, Balrampur 6, Kanker 4 and Raipur 2.
Till date, Chhattisgarh has 344 coronavirus active patients. They are undergoing treatment at AIIMS Raipur (80), Covid Hospital Mana Raipur (91), Covid Hospital Bilaspur (50), Medical College Hospital Ambikapur (24), Medical College Raigarh (27), Medical College Rajnandgaon (35) and Medical College Jagdalpur (5 patients).
The bulletin said that at present 50,881 persons were in quarantine. On Saturday, 319 people who arrived in Raipur by flight and 51 migrant workers who arrived by train were sent for quarantine.
