With three more staffers at New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) testing positive for coronavirus , the total number of staff infected with virus reached to 20. Out of these cases, 17 staff tested positive in last two days.
A senior NDMC official said that one junior engineer, one beldar and one RMR employees are found covid19 positive on Sunday.
“As per the contact tracing list, 17 persons found at high risk and advised for testing with isolate themselves. One director, two deputy director, 12 clerical staff, one driver and one peon found to have developed symptoms,” he added. The civic body had sealed the entire building on Thursday after six Covid positive cases reported in a single day.
The official said that civil engineering department (building maintenance division) and public health department are carrying out an extensive disinfection drive in Palika Kendra and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Place offices. This disinfection drive will continued carry out for three times a day for next two days,” he said.
