2 juveniles steal mobiles for playing PUBG, apprehended

The Delhi Police has apprehended two juveniles on Saturday for stealing mobiles from a shop in south Delhi’s Neb Sarai area. Police said they wanted to fulfill their addiction to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) game following which they took this step.  

Police recovered 19 mobiles, two tablets, one ludo, chess board and four batteries from their possession.

According to Atul Kumar Thakur, the DCP, South district, on Friday, police received information regarding a theft in a shop by breaking its shutter in Raju Park, Neb Sarai.

"Complainant Vikas Singh told police that on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, some unknown persons broke open the shutter of his shop and had stolen Rs 2,000, some mobile phones, ludos and some other items," said the DCP.

"During investigation, police analysed the CCTV footage of the area. On Saturday, police got a tip-off, following which a trap was laid and one juvenile was apprehended from near Shiv Mandir, Shiv Park," said DCP.
