Two deaths were reported in Punjab during the past 24 hours taking the total number of casualties to three in the state which also has 41 novel coronavirus positive patients. A day after recording second casualty due to COVID-19, the state on Monday reported three new cases, out of which one patient succumbed to the deadly virus.
On late Sunday night, Punjab’s second death of 62-year-old granthi, who was believed close to the state’s first victim — a 70-year-old man who died almost two weeks ago of coronavirus after he returned from a trip to Germany and Italy — was reported. With the three new cases — one each from Ludhiana, Patiala and SAS Nagar (Mohali), the total number of positive cases in the state has reached 41.
