District health officials, in the last two days, have sent the swab samples of 10 foreign returnees to the district to the Bhubaneswar-based Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) for coronavirus tests, said Jharsuguda CDMO JC Barik on Monday.
These persons are on home quarantine on their return. As many as 51 persons, who returned from abroad remained under home quarantine, out of which the quarantine period of 25 persons have been completed. Still, they are kept under close watch. On receipt of reports, further action would be taken, Barik added.
Department sources said that around 1,400 persons, who arrived in the district from other States, have been kept under home quarantine.
Meanwhile, police have booked cases against two persons, including a woman, for venturing out of their homes during the quarantine period. Both had arrived here from overseas.
