Ten Covid-19 patients, who tested positive, are undergoing treatment at CCL Gandhinagar Hospital, Ranchi. Altogether 10 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment at Gandhinagar hospital, out of which eight were admitted on April 27 evening, while two more patients were admitted on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner (DC), Ranchi, Rai Mahimapat Ray along with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Ranchi Anish Gupta and other district administration officials have recently visited CCL, Gandhinagar Hospital and inspected the facilities available.
After inspection, Ray took a meeting with the Doctors and informed them about the guidelines and protocols which must be adhered to while dealing with Covid -19 pandemic. He stressed on the importance of the safety of the medical personals and provided Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) kits to the hospital administration.
In addition to CCL Gandhinagar Hospital, other three central hospitals of the Company are ready to deal with both the suspected and confirmed cases of highly contagious virus. These hospitals (level two) of CCL have beds with assured oxygen support, basic life support Ambulances with sufficient oxygen support 24 x 7 and other facilities.
Chairman cum Managing Director (CMD), CCL, Gopal Singh expressed appreciations and gratitude to the doctors fraternity and frontline workers, who are working day in and day out in different parts of the Country including Jharkhand and overseas for treating COVID-19 patients and saving countless lives. He further expressed deepest gratitude to the paramedics and other stakeholders, who are striving to empower the people with the correct information and taking precautions as per the advisories issued by the Government.
Singh reiterated that the company has reserved four central hospitals to deal with Corona patients if required in future and there would be a separate entrance for such suspected cases. “We have set up a separate entrance for suspected patients at Gandhinagar Hospital and will implement this facility in other identified hospitals. Doctors will likewise treat serious patients if they visit the hospitals because of unavoidable health issues,” Singh said. He further expressed his thanks to the employees of the Company who are leaving no stone upturned in these challenging circumstances in ensuring uninterrupted coal supply to power plants for meeting the energy requirements of the nation.
Singh said that they have set an advisory board with the cooperation of retired doctors of CCL and they are giving expert advice regarding the COVID-19. This collective effort is helping in fighting the pandemic.
According to CMS, CCL Dr CP Dham, Doctors and Paramedical staffs of CCL have been trained to handle the suspected cases of Corona virus.
CCL has already distributed about 1,32,245 masks among its stakeholders and the disadvantaged and needy section of population.
The Company has also procured about 3100 PPE for Doctors and Paramedics, and another 2000 of PPE are under procurement.
