A webinar was organised by the Department of Political Science in the Utkalmani Gopabandhu Mahavidyalaya at Khamar on the topic “Relevance of Gandhian thoughts today.” The keynote speaker was BJB Autonomous College, Bhubaneswar, Reader and columnist, Abhiram Biawal.
Biswal discussed about non-violence, gender equality, women empowerment, environmental consciousness, cleanliness, self purification and social justice etc pointed out by Gandhi. He said if we cherish the ideals, we can find solutions to many current-day problems afflicting the whole globe.
Earlier, Principal Dr AK Panda inaugurated the webinar, while Political Science Department Head Jaydev Biswal welcomed the guest.
