A student was molested while returning from school in a village in Pisawa.
After that molesters uploaded her photo on social media to defame the girl and threatened to kill her brother and father.
It is alleged that the MLA in this case also creating pressure on the victim’s family for the settlement.
Fed up with this, the student ate poison. She is undergoing treatment at Noida Hospital in critical condition.
The incident is about a month old. The student of 11th standard was molested by three youths of the village at gunpoint while returning from school.
It is alleged that the molesters threatened to kill her father and brother. Out of fear, the student did not inform the family.
On November 4, the accused upload the photo of the victim on social media which went viral. 30-35 people of the family and village were tagged with the photo uploaded on Facebook.
It is alleged that the police did not take any action on the complaint but on November 7, a case was filed against unknown under the IT Act however, the section of molestation did not include in the report. After this, Khair MLA also made pressure on the victim’s family for the compromise. Stressed by this, the student ate poison on Saturday.
Anoop Valmiki, MLA said that two days ago, someone from the girl's family called me and asked for help on which I have assured them of the help. I have only talked on the phone and did not make any kind of pressure. I do not even know the girl and her family. Since it is a case of my constituency hence, I went to the hospital to see the girl. I will do whatever is necessary. Action will be taken against the culprits. The allegations being made against me are baseless.
SSP Muniraj told that the girl's photo was viral on Facebook. In this, a case was registered for the unknown. After that, the names of three people were revealed which were later included in the report. The house of three was searched but the accused are absconding. All the allegations made by the family are being investigated through SP City. The victim is in the hospital. Further action will be taken based on her statement.
