Aligarh DM postpones home isolation until further notice

Due to the rising rate of corona infection in the district, the district administration has postponed the home isolation until further orders. In a review meeting held at Collectorate, the control room in-charge Smriti Gautam said that during home isolation, asymptomatic patients are not following guidelines and are moving outside, living with family members which is increasing the infection. Nodal Officer Principal Secretary Nitin Ramesh Gokarn has also been notified. On this, the DM Chandra Bhushan Singh postponed the home isolation with immediate effect. All Magistrates / SDMs have been directed to strictly follow it.

The people kept in home isolation will complete their time by tuesday. But if a patient does not follow the rules during home isolation, then that patient should be shifted to COVID Hospital. There will be no negligence in this.

The DM said that all SDMs and Magistrates should take strict action to prevent infection. Involve voluntary organizations, NCC Cadet, and FM Radio in the campaign. Volunteer organizations and NCC cadets will educate the public by doing Nukkad Natak and other means. Magistrates will guide the public for the use of masks and sanitizers in their areas. Legal action should be taken against the person violating the guidelines.

He further appealed to the public representatives and people that they should not come with crowds to give memorandum during unlock. If any organization wants to submit a memorandum, they should come with a maximum of 30 persons only after getting permission from the magistrate. A maximum of 5 persons will be allowed to submit the memorandum to the magistrate. Maharana Pratap park was appointed as a place for memorandum. The violation of the said instructions will be prosecuted under the Pandemic Act. CDO Anunay Jha said that 75 asymptomatic people in the district are found COVID positive. All patients are being admitted to home isolates and L-1, L-2 hospitals based on symptoms. Contacted people are being quarantined after extensively examining their contacts. CDO, all ADMs, City Magistrates, CMOs, all Magistrates, District School Inspectors, and other officials were present in the meeting.

So far 3497 patients have been home isolated in the district. Currently 525 active cases. Isolation of 2979 has been completed. No one has died in home isolation.

 Pandit Deendayal Joint Hospital has 126 patients against 315 beds, 85 against 235 beds at Chherat Hospital, three against 40 beds at SJD Hospital, five against 12 beds at Varun Hospital, JN Medical College has 22 patients admitted per 100 beds. Atrauli Hospital has 135 beds empty, in which patients will start getting treatment at full capacity in one to two days. Harduaganj L-1 hospital with 30 beds is reserved for the detainees of the District Prison.
