A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances on the roadside near Ramachandrapur village under the Betnoti police station in Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday.
However, the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
Sources said some locals first spotted a bike on the road near Ramachandrapur village and later found the body a few metres away from a bush on the roadside.
It is suspected that some miscreants have killed the youth before dumping the body in the bush. On receiving information, police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
The reason behind the death would be ascertained once the postmortem report is received, said police.
