Women are not merely a creation of the Almighty but are incarnated beings, said Governor and Chancellor of Universities Prof Ganeshi Lal at the first convocation of the Rama Devi Women’s University held here on Saturday.
Congratulating the first batch students graduating from the State’s first women’s university, Prof Lal urged the students to always remember the sacrifices and struggles, the nobility and stature of the great freedom fighter Maa Rama Devi. Never compromise on your sense of worth or self-respect, and become bold, empowered and emancipated women, he advised students.
He also viewed that the first graduating students of the university would set examples to all other batches of students down them and other women in the State.
“So, how you choose to build your life and career might remain as valuable examples. Real education is not simply one that fetches you a job or helps you build a career. Education that makes you to think rationally and make proper decisions in life is proper education.
The Governor also urged the young women to be passionate and indulge themselves with devotion and dedication in building career and to have a philanthropical bent in their professional attitude.
Former Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra said there should be no anxiety about growth, no confusion over the path to be chosen and no hesitation in choosing the destination; only work with concentration and consistency on the chosen path would make you ‘The Eventual Achievers.’
