Wednesday, 31 July 2019 | PNS | Dehradun

The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Pritam Singh has said that an environment of anarchy prevails in the country and women, minorities and Dalits are being harassed. He was addressing a meeting of the office bearers of the Congress minorities’ cell at state party headquarters on Tuesday.  Singh said that BJP has conveniently forgotten its electoral promises and  anarchy prevails in the country. He claimed that the future of the country is safe only in the hands of the Congress party and the party has never compromised with its basic ideals. Accusing the BJP leaders for spreading falsehood in an attempt to project themselves as patriots, the PCC president said that the fact remains that not even a single BJP leader participated in freedom movement. He said that the RSS leaders were informers of British government. Singh said that the BJP is encouraging communal discordance in the country which is dangerous for the country.

Addressing the meeting the national President of the minorities’ cell, Mahendra Singh Bohra said that the country is passing through a difficult phase and incidents of harassment and atrocities against women are being reported from different parts of the country. He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has no control over his ministers who remain in headlines for making outrageous comments.  Bohra made an appeal to the members of the party to take the programme and policies of the party to the general public. The chairperson of state minorities cell of Congress party Tahir Ali said that prices are skyrocketing and the common people are finding themselves cheated by the Modi government.

The chairperson of the disciplinary committee of Congress party Pramod Kumar Singh, Yaqub Siddiqui, Guljar Ahmed, Suleman Ali and others participated in the meeting.
