The Vedanta Limited here under its Employee Volunteerism Programme organised career orientation meets in four Government high schools across Jharsuguda on Friday.
More than 650 students from the four schools attended the programmme and 13 Vedanta employees along with VP GG Pal and CSR head Sundar Raj interacted with the students and provided valuable insights into various career options available after matriculation or higher secondary education.
Pal advised the students to believe in the power of their dreams and work towards it diligently.
Headmaster Purushottam Patel said that the programme is a welcome move as this would act as a guiding light for the students in choosing a career that is right for them.
Sudha Rani Sharma, a Class-IX student, said, “It is my dream to become an IAS officer but I wasn’t sure till this day as to how to pursue my ambition.
The programme cleared my doubts and I have a strong confidence on me now. I am thankful for all for their guidance”.
The programme aims at providing career guidance to Class-IX and X students and disseminating important information in relation to availability of career options, technical know-how and available assistance.
The programme has a target of covering 40 Government schools in the upcoming 10 months.
