A user education programme was organised by the Central Library of Rabindranath Tagore University.
In the eight-day programme, the entire information related to the library was given to the students. Greenstone software is used in the digital library of Rabindranath Tagore University.
The Greenstone software has been adapted to suit the utility of students.
Through this digital library, students get full tax - e-book, news paper clippings, journals, syllabus, job alerts, general knowledge, and many databases like - I.E.E. Facilities of online LAN are provided on laptop, computer, mobile in the university campus.
The library is also automated with Soul Software. In which students are bibliographic information of books and exchange of books.
During this period, students were also informed about an information conference library, which has about 150 links. This is very useful for research students. Whose University Librarian, has been developed by Rakesh Kumar Khare.
It is to be noted that the main objective of this eight day programme was to develop the habit of reading among students and to give information about library resources.
At the same time, the library's assistant president Sachin Cherasia, library assistant Devanshi Pandey and Devendra Lovansi made their special contribution and made the students aware of the physical utility of the library.
