We got this information few months ago that his sons were living somewhere in the city.
After monitoring them continuously for several months we finally succeeded in arresting him. He has 29 cases registered against him in Baliya and Azamgarh on the charges of murder and attempt to murder.”She further added, “We investigated in detail to find any ration card, cable operators bill, land registry on his name, but we found nothing. Investigating further we found that a land was registered in the name of his daughter in-law’s father in February 2019 at Raiwala.”
When asked that how he used to communicate she said, “We haven’t found any mobile phone on him. UP police was attempting to arrest him, which is why he didn’t even attend the marriage of his sons.
His sons are car showroom owners. The property they have right now is in Raiwala, where he was living with his wife in a flat. We are further investigating on the property he bought and sold earlier.”
She added. “In the initial years after 2004 case in PWD office, he used to operate his gang in Uttar Pradesh from Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. After the arresting of several members of Chaube gang by UP STF in year 2009-10, his activeness in the crime world decreased.”
It is pertinent to mention that Chaube is the prime accused in the year 2004 case, in which four members of the Pappu Singh gang were murdered in Public Work Department office in Baliya. Chaube’s son Anshuman was also killed during an encounter with police.
