The association of self- financed institutes of Uttarakhand has said that delay in release of affiliation letters of universities of State to the colleges is creating problems for the students. The president of the association, Sunil Agarwal, said that the students of the reserved categories eligible for the scholarship from the social welfare department are facing problems for filling the online application for the scholarships. “The social welfare department in its online form for scholarships has made it mandatory to upload the affiliation certificates from the university their colleges are associated with.
The universities of the state conduct regular inspections of the colleges and the universities conduct examinations but the affiliation certificates are not being issued,’’ he said. Agarwal further added that the problem of delayed issuance of the affiliation certificates is with all the universities of the state but the universities like Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU) and Sridev Suman Uttarakhand University have not issued these certificates from last three years.
