A speeding truck hit a stationary truck from its rear, killing a person and critically injuring two others near the Talcher bypass in Angul district early on Monday morning.
According to reports, the chicken-laden truck heading towards Rourkela from Parjanga rammed into another truck which was parked on roadside. The driver of the moving truck, identified as Satrughna Yadav, died under the impact of the collision while two occupants of the vehicle sustained critical injuries.
Getting information, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot, rescued the injured victims and admitted them to the District Headquarters Hospital.
