Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday said that concerned Superintendent of Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Police Station In-Charge will be answerable if any business of illicit liquor unearths in their area. Reviewing the departments of Commercial Taxes and Excise on Saturday in Ranchi, Das said that the Government is committed in enforcing a clampdown on illicit liquor traders and send them to jail.
“The Government will stand in support of all small and medium business establishments that are being run with sincerity and honesty. On the other hand, it will not have any mercy on frauds and people involved in illicit liquor trade,” Das said.
Das said that a stable government in Jharkhand has ensured better growth for businessmen in urban as well as urban areas. The State, he added, will soon start rural bus services which will make commuting easy for farmers, rural students and businessmen.
A Commercial Pilot Training Centre will soon come up in Dumka, the infrastructure for which is ready, Das said, adding that the training will begin very soon. Air travel facilities will also begin from Bokaro, he said.
The process of Registration and filing of Income Tax Return (ITR) has been made completely online. Besides, the limit for composition scheme was increased from Rs.1 crore to Rs.1.5 crore, which brought relief to businessmen in the state, he said. The limit for annual turnover in order to register for Goods and Service Tax (GST) also was increased from Rs.20 lakh to Rs.40 lakh for the benefit of small businessmen.
“In a bid to provide relief to the common people, the State Government reduced petrol prices by Rs.2.50 earlier this year,” Das said.
