A fresh Western Disturbance has induced a Cyclonic Circulation over West Rajasthan and adjoining areas. It is expected that combined effect in the form of scattered rains and thundershower over the western parts of the State in next 24 hours.
Isolated rains may also be seen in the eastern districts. Minimum temperatures have seen an increase during the last 24 hours in both the states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Another Western Disturbance will approach the state on February 4. Due to this, a Cyclonic Circulation will be induced over East Rajasthan, bringing along rains over the state and even on adjoining areas of North Madhya Pradesh.
Madhya Pradesh receiving rains in this season is a rare phenomenon. It occurs only when a North-South trough is formed, or any active Western Disturbance passes over Western Himalayas, inducing a Cyclonic Circulation over North Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan.
Back to back Western Disturbances over the Himalayan region will bring along rains over the area on February 4 and 5. After the passage of this weather system, clouding will prevail over the area. South-westerly and south easterly winds will keep away the winter chill.
Minimum temperatures may fall February 7 onward due to the dry and cold northerly winds. However, Cold Wave conditions will not make a comeback.
State Capital recorded night temperature with slight increase at 5 degree Celsius which went to 4.8 degree Celsius on Monday.
In the state night temperature dipped to 2 degree Celsius which was lowest on Tuesday night.
Mandla and Umaria recorded night temperature at 2.6 and 2.8 degree Celsius respectively.
In the state 16 districts recorded night temperature below 4 degree Celsius.
