Super-senior voters like Janram Kalesh, Bhagwanti Devi Sujan and Ganesh Prasad seemed most enthusiastic during today's polling for Shahdol parliamentary constituency in Badwara assembly segment of Katni district.

Earlier, these persons were to dependant on their son, grandson or other members of the family to cast vote in the election. Occasionally, they had to even remain deprived of this privilege of voting when family members were busy.

This time, however, the disabled support vehicle not only picked them up from home but also left them back. On reaching the polling booth, the Divyang Mitra took them inside the booth on a wheelchair where they cast their vote easily. The disabled voters said that the Commission has done a commendable job by making voting easy for us to ensure our participation in democracy.

Besides, old handicapped voter Chandraprakash Mishra reached the polling booth no; 52 of Dindori assembly constituency under the Mandla parliamentary constituency and became participant of the grand festival of democracy. He informed that he always use his vote in every election for selecting candidate of his choice. He consider that every voter should exercise his voting right essentially to make the democracy of our country strong. Voting is not only our right but it is our responsibility too, he added.

Chandraprakash was facing difficulty in reaching the polling booth due to the old age and his disability. A facility of wheelchair was provided to him by the Election Commission. Facility of shed and seating by installing tent was also made at the polling booth for the voters. Chandraprakash expressed happiness after seeing these arrangements at the polling booth.
