Tuesday, 30 April 2019 | PNS | PALLAHARA

The common people are facing much difficulty as a Sulabh Souchalaya at the Pallahara Bus stand is lying defunct.

The Sulabh toilet had been established at Pallahara in 1994 by the Sulabh International. After 25 years of installation, its renovation work has not been done. As a result, the toilet is not worthy of use now.

The locals alleged that though they have drawn the attention of the authorities to the problem, the latter just lent a deaf ear.

On March the the electric submersible pump of the toilet unit burnt leading to halt in water supply. Notably,  parties are awarded the tender to run the unit  the unit on an annual basis for Rs 6,600 per month and the money is sent to Sulabh organization. While the total management and supervision is under the organization , the authority is not much concerned a out its renovation.

Meanwhile, the Citizen Forum , the Bus Owners Association, the Surakshya Mancha and the Oxford Yuva Parishad have decided to submit a petition to the local Sub Collector.
