A State-level SHG convention was organised by the Odisha State Association for Financial Inclusion Institutions (OSAFII) here on Friday.
Inaugurating it, Principal Secretary Sourav Garg spoke at length on the importance of women empowerment in poverty alleviation.
Reserve Bank of India Manager Sunil Das stated on how one should unitedly work to reach the unreached by banks and other financial institutions.
Among others, General Manager NABARD AP Das, Chief General Manager SIDBI Prakash Kumar, women activist Padmashree Tulasi Munda, Project Manager Odisha Livelihood Mission DebashisMahapatra, OUAT Professor BibhutiBhusan Mishra, Convenor State level Bankers Committee PKC Das, DGM State Bank of India Arun Agarwala attended the programme and discussed on the burning topics of digital financial literacy, financial inclusion, women empowerment, skill development and market linkages.
XIMB Professor PK Mishra launched a book that is a collection of success stories of 50 SHG women.
About 1,000 SHG women from 30 districts of Odisha attended the programme and got an opportunity to share their experiences on a common platform.
