In order to garner people’s support on the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), the State BJP would join the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Twitter campaign.
According to party State general secretary Prithviraj Harichandan, while the Prime Minister has a target to make 1 crore tweets, the State BJP has targeted 10 lakh tweets.
The party claimed that the CAA is only meant for citizenship to persecuted refugees and would never take any other’s citizenship away. People of the country would be made aware of the purpose of the CAA, it said.
The party slammed the opposition parties saying they are sending wrong messages about the CAA and creating chaos in the country.
