The University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted recognition to Shri Guru Ram Rai (SGRR) University, Dehradun.
The Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the university, Dr Pitambar Prasad Dhyani, informed that the UGC has issued the notification on June 27. He said that an eleven member team of UGC comprising the representatives of Medical Council of India, Nursing Council of India, Dental Council of India, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Pharmacy Council of India, National Council for Teacher’s Education visited the university from March 6 to 8. On the report of the team the UGC has granted recognition to the SGRR University.
The VC added that after the recognition from UGC, the SGRR University will be able to avail grants from the various ministries and departments of the government of India for its educational & research assignments.
On this unique achievement, Mahant Devendra Dass has congratulated all the faculty members and students of the university.
