The Raja Mansingh Music and Arts University, with around 140 affiliated colleges under it, continues to be rocked with sex scandals involving some faculty members and other staff. It is learnt from reliable sources that some faculty members have been sexually abusing girl students for years while the university authorities failed to take any action against the culprits.

Despite the fact that the Chancellor, the Minister and the Vice-Chancellor are women the lady teachers and girl students of the university continue to be targeted by vested interests.

Earlier, during the tenure of Lovely Sharma as VC, an investigating committee was formed to look into the allegations and it is learnt that the committee had submitted the report to the Registrar.

Later on Renu Tiwari became the VC and it is learnt that the report was submitted to her for further action. However no action has been taken till date.

Moreover the students and their parents have alleged that the investigating committee has only targeted the small fry and let go the higher ups, especially some professors, alleged to be involved in the scandal.

They further alleged that the investigating committee picked and chose the offenders thereby submitting a weak to save the higher ups. It is also learnt that the University authorities are trying to hush- up the matter to save the influential members of the faculty.

According to sources the affected students and their parents will be meeting the Governor who will be in the city tomorrow on a two days visit to apprise her of the facts.
