The Shiv Sena State unit will focus its efforts to emerge as the third power in Uttarakhand during 2020. This and other aspects were deliberated upon during a meeting of the party held here on Monday.
Addressing a party meet held here, the Shiv Sena state head Gaurav Kumar said that the party is now known for its social work, striving to resolve all issues of the public using its limited resources. He said that the party founder Bal Thackeray had incorporated 80 per cent social service and 20 per cent politics in the party’s constitution.
“Today the Shiv Sena has become an example of social service but the party will now also work towards meeting its aim of establishing its political identity. The State unit of the party will strive to establish Shiv Sena as the third power in the state during 2020,” said Kumar. He announced immediate dissolution of the party’s Dehradun Mahanagar unit, adding that the new executive of the unit would be announced soon. A seven member committee was also formed for this purpose under Manoj Sarin.
Senior party leader Shamendra Mall also addressed the party workers on the occasion.
