He directed that all police personnel on duty stay specially alert during the VVIP movement. He further said that the route in-charge should ensure during the rehearsal time that there isn’t any construction material on the road which might disrupt the fleet. A full dress rehearsal was also conducted by the police force on duty to prepare for the programme.

According to the police, during the review meeting of the security arrangements, senior officials directed that police personnel on duty must reach their duty points three hours before the decided time. They have also been directed to check the area around their duty point thoroughly.

Any suspicious thing or activity is to be communicated to senior officers with immediate effect.

People proposed to meet with the VVIP are also to be checked from security point of view, only people granted entry from earlier registrations will be allowed entry at the programme venue. No person will be allowed to carry camera, bag or any suspicious thing with him or her.

All nodal officers have been directed to strictly ensure that that the police personnel under them both in uniform and in civil are well briefed about their duties and in no condition they should be allowed to leave their duty point or gather at one place. People who are suspicious, absconding, have criminal tendency or can create communal nuisance will be kept an eye on during the security checking and the entire VVIP procession.
