A man and a woman, both doctors, have been missing from the national Capital since Christmas evening. Police said multiple teams have been searching for the duo since December 25.
According to police, the complainant, Dr Sridhar reported to police that his wife Dr Hima Bindu and a friend Dr K Dileep Satya, went missing on December 25.
“In his complaint, Dr Sridhar stated that Satya visited him from Chennai on December 25 around 9 am. The complainant was on duty and last spoke to his wife at 11.30 am on December 25, when she told him that she was going to church. Since then, he has had no contact with either of them,” said a senior police official.
“Subsequently, a case under section 365 (kidnapping) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered on December 25 at Hauz Khas Police Station. Multiple teams have been sent to different parts of the country, including Chandigarh and Andhra Pradesh, but the duo is yet to be traced,” said the senior police official.
