Sahis holds Janata Darbar

Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Ramchandra Sahis on Tuesday said that with his weekly Janata Darbar has become popular as large number of people is benefitted with the government-people interaction.  Sahis the lone AJSU Minister in Chief Minister Raghubar Das Cabinet said that in Janata Darbar people comes with their problems and they are even getting solutions to their problems.

Sahis said, “Our effort is that people get immediate relief or solutions to their problems so that we can meet their expectations.” Sahis, the Jugsalai MLA said that such Janata Darbar is in larger interest of people, people from different parts of State turning up at Janata Darbar justifies the Government’s effort of organizing  such Janata Durbar.

Sahis was made the Minister after the exit of Chandraprakash Choudhary from Raghubar Das’ Cabinet as Choudhary was elected as MP from Giridih. Sahis filled up the quota of AJSU-P, which is an ally of BJP with four MLA in Assembly.

At the weekly Janata Darbar on Tuesday too, several complaint dropped with their problems.  The people who approached Janata Durbar included Mahesh Prasad, senior engineer from Gumla approached the minister with his promotion dues. Chandan Pathak a resident of Harmu Housing colony approached the minister highlighting the anomalies in construction in draining in the area. Similarly, Harendra Karmali approached the House raising the minister with the issue of removal of security personnel from Sadar Hospital.

Rajendra Kant Mahto a resident of Pundag highlighted the issue of encroachment of Khatiyani land. Premchand Mahto of Ichhagarh raised the issue of delay in providing compensation to displaced families of Subarnarekha multipurpose project due to construction of Chandil Dam. The Subarnarekha multipurpose project was started in 1970s but even after passing of more than four decades the displaced families are yet to get compensation.

Apart from above problems there were many who approached the Janata durbar demanding jobs from Government, construction of toilets, housing scheme under PM Awas scheme among others.
