Renuka from C’garh inducted as MoS in Modi Govt

Newly elected Lok Sabha member from tribal dominated Surguja region of Chhattisgarh Renuka Singh Saruta has been inducted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his council of ministry as a minister of State. Renuka, known as a firebrand leader of the State BJP, defeated Congress candidate Khelsai Singh by an impressive margin of 1, 35,000 votes to enter the parliament.

She was MLA from Premnagar assembly segment twice and had also served earlier as woman and child welfare minister in Raman Singh led BJP Government in the state.

She also served as a vice chairman of Surguja Development Authority.
