Reminder of CBSE guidelines given

A meeting of bus owners and drivers and the school administration was held in St Mary’s Convent senior sec school, Tulsi Nagar on Monday.

In the meeting the supervisor Anu Johnson reminded them the CBSE guidelines for the drivers to ensure the safety of children. Drivers should give up rash driving and abstain from acohol and other drugs. Use of mobile phones while driving should be strictly avoided.

She also told them about the need to maintain the record of attendance of students on a regular basis and avoiding loud music in the vehicles. Unruly behavior of the children should not be tolerated. She appreciated the bus with a lady attendant and requested them to have the same for other buses too. In order to avoid chaos during the dispersal time she suggested giving numbers to all the vans and buses.

Drivers also discussed the different problems they are facing. They said children who are going on second trips should be kept inside the premises and warning should be given to the children who do not enter inside the bus on time. The principal Sr Mary CD while addressing the meeting acknowledged that she has a team of professional drivers who are respectful and caring who are relentlessly rendering their service towards the safety of the children.

She expressed her gratitude to all of them and urged them to continue to cooperate with the school administration for the smooth functioning of the transport system.
